THE MEDICAL GENTLEMEN OF BOW

Eastend Window

Bow Church - East End (Samuel Price) Window

East End Window, probably made by Frederick Drake in about 1890.

Drake was an an apprentice to Alfred Beer in Exeter who made some of the earlier windows in this church.

Samuel Price was born in East Worlington in about 1827, to farming parents. He married Priscilla Milford Norrish in 1858, shortly afterwards moving to Bow, where he lived at Collatons for over 20 years, running the nearby tannery. He died in 1887, leaving a widow, and a daughter (Mrs Minnie Pope of Nowers, Wellington).

The window at the East End of Bow Church is in his memory, and was funded by public subscription.
