Haycrofts Grave

Haycroft Grave at Sandford Church



In 1912, Dr Charles Haycroft died at Bow from an infection he contracted when treating a patient with puerperal fever. His funeral was at Sandford on 10th  August.



Below - All that remains of the grave of Dr and Mrs Haycroft on the left of the steps leading to the main entrance of St Swithun's Church in Sandford


The headstone, which has broken into two, can be seen lying against another tomb in the top right.



 I temporarily reassembled the headstone on the grass.
