Lapford Church - Loveday Kelland and James Saunder Window
Loveday Kelland (1825-1858) was William Henry Kelland's mother.
The inscription beneath reads: "To the Glory of God & in memory of his mother Loveday Elizabeth only daughter of James Saunder of Chittlehampton this Window has been erected by William Henry Kelland of Kelland in this Parish November 1888"
In the church there is also a brass plaque to the memory of William Henry Kelland (b. 1853) and his stepmother Harriet (nee Thorne).
Lapford Church - John Kelland sen and John Kelland jun Window
The east window is a memorial to William's father and grandfather, both named John. His father died in 1862, two weeks after marrying Harriet Thorne, when William was eight years old.

MEMORIAL WINDOW IN LAPFORD CHURCH.-The Eastern window of the ancient and interesting village church has been recently filled with stained glass of a peculiarly rich and appropriate character. The window is a perpendicular of three lights, and the subject which has been chosen is the Ascension. The figure of our Lord, surrounded by the Angelic host, occupies the central compartment, beneath Him are three of the apostles, St. Peter and St. John on their knees, in the fore-ground being the most prominent. The rest of their number are depicted in the side lights, and are gazing reverently upwards at the representation of the ascending Saviour, and above them hover angels with trumpets and censors. The composition includes nearly twenty figures and they are placed beneath pointed elaborate canopies profusely ornamented with crochets and finials. In the smaller tracery openings are the representations of eight cherubim and in the larger quadrifoile are two angels holding a scroll inscribed with the word “So I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” From the top of the window the spirit of the Holy Ghost is shown, "descending as a dove." The colouring of the whole window is full but harmoniously blended, and gives a general effect of subdued richness of tone, greatly enhanced by the diapering of the draperies, and the artists, Messrs. Beer and Driffield, of Exeter, may be congratulated upon the result of their labours; The window bears the following inscription :-"To the glory of God, and in memory of John Kelland, who died November 8th, 1859, ae. 80, and of John Kelland, who died January 4th, 1862, ae. 37. This window is erected by Wm. Henry Kelland, J. G. Kelland, M. A. Kelland, and Eleanor Kelland, children and grand-children of the above."
Lapford Church - Christopher Rogers Kelland Window
Born in Zeal Monachorum in 1776, Christopher Kelland was a cousin of John Kelland senior (see above). He farmed Nymet Barton in Bow for a few years before he died.
The inscription reads: "To the Glory of God and in affectionate memory of Christopher Kelland of Loosebeare Zeal and Nymett Barton Bow who Died the 27th April 1852 aged 76, Anna Maria his wife died 2nd Decr 1869 aged 81- This Window is erected by their Son William Kelland.
