THE MEDICAL GENTLEMEN OF BOW

Emily Radford Window

DOWN ST MARY CHURCH

WINDOWS IN MEMORY OF EMILY WILLIAMA (NÉE WALSH), WIFE OF REV W.T.A. RADFORD.

Both these windows, in the North aisle, depict six biblical characters. The top one, probably paid for by Rev Radford shows Abraham and Sara, Isaac and Rebecca, and Jacob and Rachel and carries an inscription in Latin.

The lower one, probably erected by her friends, depicts Boaz and Ruth, Zacharias and St Elizabeth, and St Mary BV and St Joseph.

Emily Radford died aged 34 in 1872
